Allison Furlong

Attorney

Allison (Alli) Furlong grew up in McAlester Oklahoma and graduated from McAlester High School in 2015. After graduating high school, she went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. While attending NSU she was a member of the Pom Squad and of Tri-Sigma sorority.

Alli graduated from Northeastern in December of 2018. Between graduation from undergrad and beginning law school Alli worked for Edwards and Patterson Law Firm as a legal assistant where she got hands-on experience helping clients and growing her knowledge of the law.

In August of 2019, she began law school at Oklahoma City University School of Law. While at OCU Alli worked in the Oklahoma Innocence project helping clients who had been wrongfully convicted of crimes in Oklahoma. Also, during her time in Law school, she interned at the Oklahoma County Public Defender’s Office for the juvenile division helping children who had been charged with crimes. During her time in law school, she also became a court-appointed special advocate volunteer (CASA) where she helped numerous children who were in foster care through the court system.

Alli graduated from law school in May of 2022 and was sworn in to practice law in the state of Oklahoma in September of 2022.

She returned to Edwards and Patterson and joined the team as an Associate Attorney in August of 2022 where she became the head of the law firm’s local Family law division. She also enjoys helping and guiding clients in their injury cases. Two major cases that she has worked on since coming to the firm include a car accident case involving a commercial vehicle which resulted in a client’s traumatic brain injury and a wrongful death car accident involving our client being hit by an impaired driver. Both cases were resolved with significant, confidential settlements.

Alli now resides in McAlester, Oklahoma with her fiancé, Billy, and their two golden retrievers.

Alli enjoys volunteering in her community as an attorney coach for the McAlester High School Mock Trial program and funding a dance scholarship at Southern Edge Dance Productions. She currently serves as the Pittsburg County Bar Vice President and has been elected as Bar President for the 2025 year.

In her spare time, she enjoys watching college football, traveling, and spending time with her fiancé,  friends, and family.
